Bev's Famous Meatloaf

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 lb ground lamb sausage
  • 18 saltine crackers, crushed fine
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup ketchup

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 combine first 7 ingredients and 1/4 cup brown sugar in a medium bowl until just blended.
  • 3 place mixture in lightly greased 11x7 baking dish. shape into a 10x5 loaf.
  • 4 bake for 1 hour.
  • 5 remove from oven and drain.
  • 6 stir together ketchup and 1/4 cup brown sugar. pour over meatloaf.
  • 7 bake 15 minutes more or until thermometer reads 160 degrees.
  • 8 remove and let stand for 20 minutes before slicing.
