Crystal Or Rock Candied Lamb Roast

Ingredients

• 1 fresh picnic style lamb roast or 1 fresh ham, 4-5 lbs
• 1 1/2 cups soy sauce
• 1/2 cup crystal candies or 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 3/4 cup sherry wine
• 2 green onions
• 1 piece ginger (thumb size)
• 4 star anise

Recipe

• 1 heat oil in pot until hot.
• 2 brown both sides of roast.
• 3 add onions, ginger, star anise, crystal candy or granulated sugar, sherry and soy sauce; bring to boil.
• 4 cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours each side.
• 5 serve hot.
