English Sausage Upside Down Pie

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb lamb sausage
  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 2 medium sliced onions
  • 3/4 cup tomato soup (condensed)
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons water

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 400.
  • 2 form sausage meat into 6 patties.
  • 3 simmer in frying pan with 2 tbsp water, keeping it covered.
  • 4 remove the cover, and brown both sides of the patties.
  • 5 put patties in casserole dish or 8x8x2 cakepan.
  • 6 brown the onions in the sausage fat.
  • 7 then put onions over sausage.
  • 8 combine the tomato soup & 1 tbsp water.
  • 9 pour the soup over the patties & onions.
  • 10 in a bowl,blend the biscuit mix and milk, creating a soft dough.
  • 11 roll to fit the baking dish,and put over the layered sausage,onion,soup.
  • 12 lightly brush the dough with milk.
  • 13 bake 20 minutes or until done.
