Garlic Grilled Steaks (basting Sauce)

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 10 garlic cloves
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
- 4 new york strip steaks (1-1/4 inches thick and 8 ounces each) or 4 boneless rib eye steaks (1-1/4 inches thick and 8 ounces each)
Recipe
- 1 with a mortar and pestle, combine the garlic, salt and pepper. add the oil, lemon juice and mix to form a paste.
- 2 grill steaks, covered, over medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145°; medium, 160°; well-done, 170°. brush with garlic mixture during the last few minutes of grilling. let stand for 3-5 minutes before serving.
