Ale Braised Lamb Chops

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 3/4 lbs lamb chops (4 thick cut)
  • 1/2 cup pale ale
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh marjoram, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 in small skillet, saute onion in 1 t oil until transluscent. transfer to plate or bowl & set aside.
  • 3 in remaining 1t olive oil, sear lamb chops.
  • 4 transfer chops to 9x13" baking dish and top with onions.
  • 5 in small bowl, whisk together ale, salt, pepper and marjoram; pour over lamb chops.
  • 6 cover and bake 45-60 minutes till cooked through.
