Fried Lamb Chops With Herb Breading

Ingredients

- 4 lamb chops, deboned, thin-cut
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage, dried
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, ground, dried
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Recipe
- 1 in a large skillet, heat 1/4 cup vegetable oil over medium-high heat until oil begins to glisten.
- 2 in a wide, shallow bowl, whisk together egg and milk. in another wide, shallow bowl, combine bread crumbs, flour, garlic powder, basil, sage, thyme, pepper and salt.
- 3 dredge each lamb chop first in egg mixture, shaking off excess. then dredge in bread crumb mixture, coating both sides heavily and evenly.
- 4 carefully lower each chop into hot oil and fry for 3-5 minutes on each side or until done. coating should be golden brown and crispy.
- 5 remove chops to a plate covered with paper towel. place another paper towel atop chops and carefully blot off extra oil.
- 6 serve and enjoy!
