Easy Chinese Beef With Broccoli

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry vermouth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 bunch broccoli
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil (use peanut oil if you have it)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 cute steak across the grain into thin bite-sized pieces.
  • 2 pour soy sauce and sherry over steak.
  • 3 sprinkle with cornstarch and sugar; mix well.
  • 4 cut broccoli unto thin slices. peel stem, slice into 2" pieces.
  • 5 pour half of the oil into a skillet or dutch oven. add salt and broccoli and cook for 2 minutes. remove from skillet. add remaining oil and onion. stir well and add the steak.
  • 6 cook for 2 minutes. add broccoli. mix thoroughly and serve over rice or noodles.
