Crock-pot Flank Steak

Total Time: 7 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 7 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs flank steaks, cut in half
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in a skillet, brown steak in oil; transfer to a slow cooker.
  • 2 in the same skillet, saute onion for 1 minute, gradually adding water while stirring to loosen browned bits from the skillet.
  • 3 add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
  • 4 pour over the flank steak.
  • 5 cover and cook in a crockpot on low for 7-8 hours or until meat is tender.
  • 6 slice and serve with the onion and pan jukes from the bottom of crockpot.
