Ham & Swiss Soup

Ingredients

- 4 1/2 teaspoons butter or 4 1/2 teaspoons margarine
- 4 1/2 teaspoons flour
- 1 (14 ounce) can reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup chopped broccoli
- 1 teaspoon dried onion
- 1 cup cubed cooked ham
- 1/2 cup whipped topping
- 3/4 cup shredded swiss cheese
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a sauce pan.
- 2 whisk in flour until smooth.
- 3 gradually add broth and bring to a boil.
- 4 reduce heat and stir for a couple of minutes until thickened.
- 5 add broccoli and onion.
- 6 cook and stir until broccoli is tender tender-crisp.
- 7 add ham and cream. heat through.
- 8 stir in cheese and cook until melted.
