Ham & Swiss Soup

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons butter or 4 1/2 teaspoons margarine
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 (14 ounce) can reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion
  • 1 cup cubed cooked ham
  • 1/2 cup whipped topping
  • 3/4 cup shredded swiss cheese

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a sauce pan.
  • 2 whisk in flour until smooth.
  • 3 gradually add broth and bring to a boil.
  • 4 reduce heat and stir for a couple of minutes until thickened.
  • 5 add broccoli and onion.
  • 6 cook and stir until broccoli is tender tender-crisp.
  • 7 add ham and cream. heat through.
  • 8 stir in cheese and cook until melted.
