Family Goulash

Total Time: 2 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/3 lbs stewing beef
  • 4 yellow onions
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/3 cup tomato paste
  • 1 2/3 cups vegetable broth

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 325°f.
  • 2 cut the meat into cubes.
  • 3 peel and cut the onions and garlic into thin slices.
  • 4 saute the onions and garlic in the margarine until soft.
  • 5 add the meat, brown slightly.
  • 6 add the rest of the ingredients, stir and let it get to a boil.
  • 7 cover the pan and put it into the preheated oven.
  • 8 let simmer until the meat is tender, approximately 2 hours.
