Crunchy Apple Beef

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 3/4 lb flank steak, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest, zest from 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon chinese five spice powder
  • 1 granny smith apple, cored and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch diced
  • 3 green onions, cut into 2-inch lenghts

Recipe

  • 1 to make the marinade, combine the cornstarch and soy sauce into a bowl and mix well.
  • 2 add the beef and stir to coat evenly. let stand for 10 minutes.
