Dangerously Dark Rich Cherry Fudge

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 20 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 13 fluid ounces evaporated milk
  • 7 ounces marshmallow cream
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 1/2 cups dark sweet dried cherries
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped hazelnuts, toasted

Recipe

  • 1 finely chop dried cherries.
  • 2 food processor works best for this.
  • 3 toss with almond extract.
  • 4 weigh out chocolate chips.
  • 5 combine evaporated milk, marshmallow cream, sugar,& butter in 4 quart saucepan.
  • 6 cook over med.
  • 7 heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to full rolling boil; boil& stir 8 minute.
  • 8 remove from heat.
  • 9 add chocolate chips beating until completely melted.
  • 10 blend in chopped cherriesand toasted nuts.
  • 11 pour mixture into a buttered 9x13 cake pan.
  • 12 let sit until set.
  • 13 cut into 1 inch squares.
  • 14 should sit several hours or over night to let the flavor of the cherries permeate the fudge.
