French Country Chicken Stew

Ingredients

- 1/2 lb sliced bacon, diced
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed
- 1 (16 ounce) can cut green beans, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 cook and stir bacon in large skillet over medium high heat until almost crisp.
- 2 add chicken, garlic, onion, and thyme. cook and stir until onion and garlic are soft, about 5 minutes. pour off drippings.
- 3 add the remaining ingredients; bring to a boil over high heat. reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered 10 minutes.
