Chinese Style Veal Ribs

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 kg veal rib (cut into 2 inch pieces)
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons ginger powder
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 6 tablespoons tomato puree
- 2 teaspoons sweet chili sauce
- 3 -4 crushed garlic cloves
Recipe
- 1 put all ingredients in a plastic bag and marinate in the dry rub overnight.
- 2 bring about 2 litres of water to the boil in a saucepan with a steamer on top.
- 3 put the marinated ribs into the steamer and steam for about half an hour.
- 4 all the flavour is now also in the water so reserve.
- 5 now add the sauce ingredients into the reserved water and reduce until the required consistency.
- 6 deep fry ribs until crispy,.
- 7 poor sauce over the ribs.
