Chinese Style Veal Ribs

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 kg veal rib (cut into 2 inch pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons ginger powder
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 6 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 2 teaspoons sweet chili sauce
  • 3 -4 crushed garlic cloves

Recipe

  • 1 put all ingredients in a plastic bag and marinate in the dry rub overnight.
  • 2 bring about 2 litres of water to the boil in a saucepan with a steamer on top.
  • 3 put the marinated ribs into the steamer and steam for about half an hour.
  • 4 all the flavour is now also in the water so reserve.
