Ingredients

- 1 lb dry navy beans, soaked over night
- 2 quarts water
- 1 lb meaty ham bones or 1 lb ham, cut in pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped celery leaves
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- salt
Recipe
- 1 soak beans in a pot full of water covering them over night.
- 2 put all ingredients in pot.
- 3 cook on low for 10 to 12 hours, or on high 5 to 6.
- 4 enjoy.
