Glazed Meatball Appetizers

Ingredients
- 3 slices bread
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Recipe
- 1 soak the bread in the milk. combine the bread, eggs, horseradish, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl; beat well at medium speed of an electric mixer.
- 2 add the ground beef; mix well. shape mixture into 1 inch balls. place on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. place meatballs on a papertowel covered plate to absorb any excess grease.
- 3 combine the ketchup and remaining ingredients in a saucepan; cook over medium heat until bubbly, stirring occasionally.
- 4 add the meatballs to the sauce, and cook until thoroughly heated. serve warm.
