Crock Pot Black Beans And Rum

Total Time: 8 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb dried black beans
  • 1 ham hock
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 place beans in slow cooker and add next 7 ingredients.
  • 2 cook on low for 8 hours.
  • 3 remove ham and bay leaf. cut meat off the bone; return to pot.
  • 4 in a bowl, combine flour, rum and tabasco sauce. stir into beans and blend well.
  • 5 serve with sour cream.
