Ingredients

- 2 lbs round steaks, fat trimmed off & meat cut into 1-inch cubes
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
- 4 tablespoons ground cumin
- 7 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 -2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) can refried beans
Recipe
- 1 brown steak, onion, and garlic in the oil in 6 quart dutch oven. add tomatoes, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, peppers and salt. bring to a boil. lower heat to a simmer and cook slowly for 2 to 3 hours or until steak is tender. add refried beans and cook, stirring until well blended.
