Fast, Simple, And Delicious Vegetarian Chili

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces onions, chopped (about 1 medium)
  • 16 ounces kidney beans (undrained)
  • 1 lb textured vegetable protein
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 28 ounces stewed tomatoes (chopped)
  • 8 teaspoons chili powder
  • 8 teaspoons minced garlic
  • tabasco sauce

Recipe

  • 1 coat iron pan with nonstick spray and place on medium heat.
  • 2 add onion and soy meat to pan.
  • 3 once onion is brown or wilted add beans, sauce, tomatoes, and chili powder.
  • 4 bring to a boil, then let simmer over med-low heat for 15 minutes to let thicken.
  • 5 add garlic and stir.
  • 6 add tobasco to taste.
  • 7 turn off heat and let sit for 2-5 minutes.
