Cantonese Meatballs

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 24 meatballs
  • 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

Recipe

  • 1 brown meatballs. drain pineapple, reserving juice.
  • 2 combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, teriyaki sauce, vinegar, ketchup and cornstarch. cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
  • 3 add meatballs and simmer 10 minutes. remove from heat and add pineapple.
  • 4 let cool. place in freezer bag. label and freeze.
  • 5 to serve: thaw. pour into skillet and heat until bubbly. serve with rice.
