Creole Tomato Sauce

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large tomato, peeled, seeded, and chopped
  • 1 fresh hot pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 heat the oil in the skillet, add the onion, and saute until soft.
  • 2 add the tomato, hot pepper and salt and pepper to taste.
  • 3 stir until the sauce combines and is think.
  • 4 stir in the vinegar and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • 5 serve warm or cold with meat or fish.
