24 Hour Crock Pot Barbecue

Total Time: 24 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 24 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 medium onions
  • 4 -5 lbs boston butt
  • 2 cups water
  • 6 cloves
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) bottle hickory flavored barbecue sauce
  • 10 drops tabasco sauce, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 the night before serving, put 1 sliced onion in crock pot.
  • 2 add meat, water and cloves.
  • 3 top with 1 sliced onion.
  • 4 cover and cook on low 10-12 hours, or until the meat falls off the bone.
  • 5 drain contents of crock pot in a colander.
  • 6 remove bone and fat from meat.
  • 7 discard onions and cloves.
  • 8 return meat to crock pot.
  • 9 add chopped onion, barbecue sauce and tabasco pepper sauce.
  • 10 cover and cook remainder of day on low, or 1-3 hours on high.
  • 11 serve on warm buns.
